Lol Jamil was expecting a story of Jack losing his virginity to a Prince song. Damn, chick gave back present you bought for her Jack and in front of the class? That’s Docudramedy fo yo ass!!

  • Stalk👁

LMMFAO I was one of those who used to think Prince was Gay until I saw Purple Rain and the videos. Well, Jamil for all we know, he couldve been Bi but I think he loved Women.

[email protected] scratch sound effect the second Kyle mentioned that he never saw Purple Rain.
Kyle, Im revoking your Kewl Pass!😈
    😂😅😆

I was never a huge Prince fan. I took my roles as a punk / goth kid seriously. However, I did appreciate him as a great musician and a music genius. I did have the Purple Rain 45, though, since it came out before I cemented my musical identity.

As for music geniuses now? My picks would be Elvis Costello and Steven Wilson. Maybe Andy Partridge and Steve Kilbey.

  • Stalk👁

I love Punk too but at the same time, I ackwoleged the awesome talents of the Purple One.

  • Stalk👁

Wut? Your Sis moved to Minneapolis just to be near Prince?? DAFUQ!

Stephen King will ressurect as the plant monster Jordy from Creepshow.

  • Jim Kee

I think Stephen King should specifically say in his Will “I don’t want to be living in a Pet Cemetery.”

  • Stalk👁

Some people are speculating that Prince was assassinated because of his grasp on his music library. Liked him but he was a bit too protective of his shit.

  • Jim Kee

Whenever I admit to anyone that I’m not a huge Prince fan I immediately say that I still think he’s a musical genius.

  • Stalk👁

    Nice Ramones refrence!

“I was never a huge Prince fan. I took my roles as a punk / goth kid seriously.”

I never understood that elitist mentality and, when it comes to music especially, a lot of people seem to swear by it. I understand it’s mostly a teen thing, but I never ascribed to it even when I was a teen. It’s an attitude that’s rooted in a need for some kind of cultural “identity” and seems to revolve around how a person is perceived by others rather than the music itself. Quite a few people never outgrow it and carry it into their adult tastes, too.

I never gave a damn about such limiting beliefs and always enjoyed many different genres of music. All of which might partly explain why I’m a Prince fan: I enjoyed his eclecticism, his all-encompassing artistic vision, and his willingness to blur boundaries.

  • Turd Has Escaped The Gravy

Right on cue, a ton of ridiculous conspiracy theories are coming out of the woodwork and being propagated by the media. They said the same things about Michael Jackson. And let’s not get started on the whole “he faked his own death” thing that’s been attributed to both P and MJ.

  • Jim Kee

You have no idea how elitist I was. Looking back on it, I tried very hard to alienate myself from, well, everyone. It was probably a fear of not being thought of as cool. “I’m not cool enough? Fuck you, I’m so beyond cool. I like music that you’re not cool enough to have ever heard of, and any music that IS popular sucks balls.” So I basically doubled down on my own oddness and liking anything that was popular was just not an option.
On the plus side of that, I did get to discover a shitton of really awesome music that most people wouldn’t have heard otherwise. I’m still 100% behind the thought that popularity does not equate to actual talent.
The difference now is that I’m willing to accept that just because I don’t listen to it, doesn’t automatically mean it’s total crap.

  • Jim Kee

It also somewhat extends into my tastes in Classical music. I don’t dislike popular composers like Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, and Handel. But the 5th name in my top 5 is Rued Langgaard.

  • Turd Has Escaped The Gravy

Now that’s taking things to a whole ‘nother level!

    LMMFAO

    Dude.

    It was for a job.

    Conveniently.

    Well, that works! 😀

    Fucking illuminati

  • Kyle Fulton

    I WASN’T BORN YET. GAWD.

  • Kyle Fulton

    One can only hope so.

  • Stalk👁

No excuse, son. You seen Ghostbusters and I’m sure the Star wars films, so avoiding a prolific film such as PR is more of a matter of your personal choice. Please don’t use “I wasn’t born yet” as an excuse. It reeks of desperation. 😛

  • Kyle Fulton

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I saw Ghostbusters and Star Wars because I was a child in the 80’s and 90’s, when Ghostbusters had a cartoon on TV and Star Wars was being shown on networks all the time. I was shown these things by my friends and parents. By the time I was aware that Prince even HAD a movie, I was well into my teenage years, because my parents never sat me down and said “This musician that I liked when I was a teenager made a movie that was entirely inappropriate for children. Watch it!” And in my teenage years, I didn’t give a fuck, because Prince wasn’t my kind of music. If I had been older when the flick came out, I’m sure I would have seen it, but Purple Rain isn’t a cultural cornerstone for my generation like it is for yours, evidently. It’s not desperation to say I haven’t seen it because of my age – it’s a damned fact.

  • Stalk👁

    Ok, Junior.

  • Stalk👁

So Jack, what did you think of Beyonce’s Lemonade? Was that a silly stunt or some very creative Shit?
