I had to fight grown man just to buy Phasma for my sister. Like hot damn.

  • Boxedo

Me and Amber were literally just talking about this exact thing YESTERDAY about how collecting sports memorabilia is the same god damn thing as people collecting toys or going to cons. Instead of cons, you go to sporting events.

The only reason this came up is she mentioned that the radio show blaring at her work was also on this exact subject, though the two host were calling ever grown adult losers for having the same basic interest in hobby as ‘jock sports guy’ with a jerseys and such.

  • Boxedo

Figure I’d respond as I was listening.

  • Jack Randomm

NO! Don’t do it! Assume the second one can stand alone!

  • Boxedo

I….can’t… I must watch it in order.

The only type of movies free from this clause are time travel movies or prequels.

  • Stalkeye

Thanks for the Shoutout, Jack! *Blushes*
When I heard you mention my article during my commute to work, I be like “Fuck yea”!
It was truly a labor of love and I’m glad you added Captain Universe as extra trivia.
As for Shogun Warriors, I can’t really help you with that one cause the Micronauts were my go-to toy and comic prior to GI Joe of course. (;’

    Now, here are a few of my thoughts from this Goddamn funny Podcast;

Jack, you sound like my best friend after hear your review on Hancock!
Holy Shit I was laughing my ass off on the train when you called out Hancock!
Brilliant and yes, I have to cosign with you on that one.

As for the Movie itself, the first half of Hancock was great but they fucked it up royally!!! Agreed unanimously !!!

“That’s Whiteboy Shit”! I guess he never saw all the Brothas lined up for any of the Marvel & DC Movies let alone the Comiccons. Jamil, your friend is an Asssplash!

“Black Southernman “? There’s a sitcom premise thar!

“This don’t have shit to do with Star Trek !” Preach it, my Nugga!

Good luck with that one Jack. Not feeling this Nu Trek Shit!

Shogun Warriors and Micronaughts are forever linked in my head. The toys came out damn near at the same time, as did the comics. The Shoguns were cool because they were fucking huge compared to the ‘Naughts, and probably the catalyst for my life-long obsession with giant mechs.

  • Jack Randomm

This one was really fun to record. Kyle and Jamill reverted to childhood when Turtles came up! That was awesome and caught me off guard.

    And yeah, fuck Hancock.

  • Jack Randomm

I hear that from a lot of people. That they talk to us while they listen.

  • Stalkeye

I had funny memories of working at TRU that I’m saving for my great Biography one day.:P
WTF am I kidding? Those desperate Dweebs used to pay me to hold certain figures for them to pick up and purchase. I made out OK back in the day. One of them was a Guy who used to work for Marvel and now became the VP of Toy Biz sometime afterward. I shit thee naught!

  • Stalkeye

Well, the Shogun Warriors was based on Go Nagai’s Anime and designs so yeah, they deserve a shout.

  • Jack Randomm

A few of my co-workers had deals with local collectors, so I’m familiar with the practice.

  • Jack Randomm

One of the Warriors was named Mazinga, so there you have it.

  • Jack Randomm

Also, the comic tie-in was drawn by Herb Trimpe, and crossed over with the Godzilla title once or twice!

  • Stalkeye

That was just a fraction of what went on at that store! Fist fights, grand larceny, chicks getting “smashed” on conveyor belts.. And all these aforementioned actions was from my coworkers!! O-0

  • Stalkeye

Yup, the good ol days when I worked at TRU. XD

  • Jamill Payne

Now evreybody is picking on my friend lol.

  • Stalkeye

  • Stalkeye

Oh, Fugg yeah ! Mazinger Z or rather”Transor Z” in the states. XD

Personally, I loved Mazin Saga for the Genesis back in the day.

    Boss battles were epic!!
