  • +8’C. About 45’F

  • I missed a pun there. I shoulda said that I think the “Xbox podcast” is the Jack Randomm show

  • Tarmac492.1

    madness.

  • Tarmac492.1

will listen to this at some point this week. Incidentally, I’m reading The Turtle Boy by Kealan Patrick Burke and I am quite enjoying that shit.

  • Tim R.R. Something

Ripley: How many pods is this for you, Lieutenant?

    Colbert: Thirty eight… simulated.

Vasquez: How many *combat* podcasts ?

Colbert: Uh, two. Including this one.

    Drake: Shit.

    Hudson: Oh, man…

  • Roger Moore is the best Bond.

  • Moonraker is still a lot of fun.

  • CGI blood is used because you can scale it back in post if the MPAA complains.

  • Definitely a favorite of mine.

  • The score to Coppola’s Dracula is a fave of mine. And that of Body Double, of course.

  • Bop

    He is.

  • Jen Arisen

GOSH ….. i just giggled loudly at that ;)!!!

  • Jen Arisen

I thoroughly enjoyed that AB……from beginning to end ;)…out the box style

  • Of course

  • gorgarwilleatyou1

Yay IAB! Hey IAB have you seen that crap-fest “Big Game” set in your neck of the woods shitty movie gorgeous scenery!

  • Here’s the irony: It takes place in Finland, but was filmed in Germany.

  • Stalkeye

I would go with SC but Moore is a very close second.

  • I’ve seen it, and like Dee says below, they didn’t even film that here. The idiots

  • gorgarwilleatyou1

Shame I wanted to like it I love those most dangerous game type flics yes even the one with ice-t ! Well Germany has some nice scenery to be sure !!

  • Dr. Geiszler, Kaijuologist

I really REALLY want to get those shots to prevent shingles from happening.

  • Dr. Geiszler, Kaijuologist

But with age, people gain wisdom! Well, the ones who aren’t so fucking stupid anyway.

  • Dr. Geiszler, Kaijuologist

    BETTER!

  • Dr. Geiszler, Kaijuologist

    I’m feeling sorry…………………for Schrodinger.

  • Dr. Geiszler, Kaijuologist

I love snow. But I can never get used to the chill. I used to say cold but Better owns the right to use that word.

  • Dr. Geiszler, Kaijuologist

Spielberg, Cameron, Scorcese, and Lucas started small then they went to mid budget and THEN they went to big budget. Now? Any indie film-maker nowadays is propelled to big budget. And people act surprise when these dudes make flops. There are exceptions, like Godzilla and Jurassic World but that was established franchises.

  • Dr. Geiszler, Kaijuologist

Crimson Peak is an R, Scott. Its definitely an R rating. Also I loved how it homaged the Hammer Horror flicks of back then.

  • Dr. Geiszler, Kaijuologist

Its why I am a huge fan of Del Toro. His films are visually intelligent. People keep looking at Pacific Rim for faults when it is such a fantastic movie.

  • Dr. Geiszler, Kaijuologist

SKYFALL FTW, DAMMIT. FUCK YEAH, BETTER.

  • Dr. Geiszler, Kaijuologist

Same here. I like all Bonds.

  • Dr. Geiszler, Kaijuologist

    Dalton!

  • Dr. Geiszler, Kaijuologist

I grew up with Brosnan. Goldeneye was like the most kickass flick I had seen as a kid. Before I watched Die Hard.

  • Dr. Geiszler, Kaijuologist

BUT MOONRAKER IS SO MUCH FUN.

  • Dr. Geiszler, Kaijuologist

I always thought what would Bond be like if the character was female. I’m always wishful thinking. The one thing I see in Bond is ruthlessness and British nationality.

  • Dr. Geiszler, Kaijuologist

    Wow. That’s pretty ironic, Scott.

  • Dr. Geiszler, Kaijuologist

I still have to see most of his work but damn, Hitchcock, love his stuff.

  • Dr. Geiszler, Kaijuologist

Rear Window. Raymond Burr playing the heavy friggin’ works.

  • Dr. Geiszler, Kaijuologist

    I must see Rope.

  • Dr. Geiszler, Kaijuologist

Jurassic Park. Man, I envy you guys watching it back in ’93.

  • Dr. Geiszler, Kaijuologist

I mean, I still caught it when it came out in 2013 so there’s that.

  • Dr. Geiszler, Kaijuologist

Yeah, the internet losing their shit over Spielberg and his triceratops animatronic.

  • Dr. Geiszler, Kaijuologist

Kitamura doing Barker. Probably better than Kitamura doing Godzilla……..

  • Dr. Geiszler, Kaijuologist

I wanted to like Wolfman! But Goddammit, that movie felt phoned in. But I guess when compared to the stuff nowadays, it’s better. What a sorry state of affairs that that the horror genre is in.

  • Dr. Geiszler, Kaijuologist

Looking forward to Spectre, after Bridge of Spies. Star Wars as an obvious one.

  • Dr. Geiszler, Kaijuologist

    What are my favorite tracks?

  • Dr. Geiszler, Kaijuologist

I think my favorite score would be………………………..

  • Dr. Geiszler, Kaijuologist

And I had fun listening to this pods! Later fellas.

  • Dr. Geiszler, Kaijuologist

    Or…………………..

  • Stalkeye

I’m down for a Idris Elba Bond or Equilizer. 😛 “Too street’ my Ass!
If they want to try something different whtehr its a Female Thor, Black Captain America or Muslim (?!!!?) Ms.Marvel, let ’em. its only on a trial basis anyways but hey, the Black Nick Fury worked out better than many had anticipated.
Scott, 50 is teh new 40 Boss. You make it sound like you’re Abe Vigoda’s age but then again, he’ll outlive the entire Human Race. Kim, was there a bad connection from your end? You sounded like you were speaking from 2000 leagues under the Sea.

I laughed my ass off when you mentioned John Peters from that Superman doc. he’s right for the part if Studio-HEAD was made into a Movie!!! Yes, its the idiots who are playing with the big toys, and mos absolutely have no clue on how things should work within the Movie industry. otherwise Amazing Spider-man 2 would’ve been a smash hit.

    Oops!

  • Stalkeye

Great 007 Movie with a somber dedication to the late great Derek Meddings (Superman, UFO.) *sniff* )0:

  • I should’ve probably recorded my side. I was lazy. I just wanted to talk and nothing else for a change

  • But I actually think I sound less nerdy when filtered through 30’s radio-type interference, lol

  • Tarmac492.1

Umm, I agree 101% with the Wolfman. So excited. So let down.

  • Tarmac492.1

One of the top theater experiences for me. Ever. The T-Rex scene was fucking phenom in the theater. Still one of the best scenes. The T-Rex roar rivals Godzilla’s for sheer awesomeness. The way it is edited and Spielberg gets a jump scare out of the T-Rex mouth crashing down on the sun roof of the Jeep? Awesome. Just Awesome. Should be taught in film school on how to build up suspense. Characters are still lame for the most part, though.

  • Tarmac492.1

Still want to see those four dudes(well 3 anyway) do one more film each at 5 mil to see what they can give us.

  • Turd Has Escaped The Gravy

If it makes you feel any better, I was extremely disappointed when I first saw the movie in the theater in ’93. I saw it a second time on its first run and enjoyed it more now that my expectations had been tempered, but Jurassic Park was never a top theater experience for me.

  • Turd Has Escaped The Gravy

That scene was great; it was just a shame about the rest.

  • This is a conversation I have just about every day. It’s not just limited to film, but books as well. It seems like people have lost the art of how to tell a story.

  • Dr. Geiszler, Kaijuologist

Well, I guess when you cut out the middle man of publishing houses and editors, yeah, the quality of books is gonna take a nosedive. I mean……………….we got fanfics being published.

  • Tarmac492.1

Agreed. There is good and bad with that technology.
