The Other Gods, Too, Are Blind

In the place where the Other Gods dwell
– where no mortal may see
the dance of the Old Ones –
A Star shines above.

In their horrible truth,
the Other Gods play.
With Terrible beauty
and madening brilliance,
They praise the Shining Star.

From far Beyond they come
– to dance in tribute
and sing their praise –
To the solitary Shining Star.

All the while,
deaf and blind are mankind
to the ways of the Other Gods
– who control their sad lives –

And all the while,
the Shining Star just smiles.
As the Other Gods, too, are blind.

    ‘Ode to Ice Cream’

I like ice cream a whole lot

It tastes good on days that are hot

On a cone or in a dish

This will be my only wish

    Vanilla, chocolate, rocky road

Even with pie, a la mode.

Was this inspired by that Egypt movie where the one god rips the other’s eyes out?

  • Sagamanus

    Did you do that art?

  • Nah, I just figured it was appropriate.
