Didn’t see much when they dropped the first trailer and it seemed kind of unimpressive. Not sure how I feel about the film at this point, but it’s at least getting more tempting. Of course not if you haven’t seen the original Harry Potter’s or care.  Hmh, Colin Farrell is in it. Interesting.

    It’s too Redmayne.

  • Vampire Hunter D(ee)

Is that a stab at patois? “It’s too red, man.”

  • I_am_better

*googles what the hell “patois” means*
    Uh… No…?

  • Vampire Hunter D(ee)

    It would be “mon” anyway.

  • KilliK

And there I thought Cumberbatch was looking weird..

Not sure why this studio loves Yates so much. He was my least favorite of the Harry Potter directors.

  • Vampire Hunter D(ee)

Yeah he seems like an efficient craftsman who gets the job done but that’s it.

  • Turd Has Escaped The Gravy

His Tarzan movie seems likely to flop. No wonder he’s clinging to the safety of the Harry Potter franchise.

But yeah; seems more of a TV director than anything (in the sense of being less important than the producers).

  • CoolHandJuke

i wouldn’t let Redmayne lick my asshole after the Santa Fe Chili Cookoff…

There really is only one good Potter film and that’s the third one. Of course if I were to watch them again I’d watch them all. All of them have their moments and good atmosphere. But yeah Yates is nothing to talk about.

  • ErnestRister

He’s really good with talent, not an iconoclast.

I’m a person and my name is Voldemort!

  • franks_television

It’s my favorite but I also really liked Goblet of Fire and I liked the whimsical tone and palette of the Chris Columbus ones. Yates was just dull.

  • franks_television

I guess that’s it. Churns out the product that the studio wants.

  • Toruk_Makto

Well I like him. Order of the Phoenix is my favorite of the Potter films.
