Oddsmaker Bovada has issued their odds for the 67th Prime Time Emmys and there’s some fascinating lines here. Game of Thrones is a massive favorite to take Outstanding Drama Series ($100 gets you $66.67) and Veep is the contender to take Outstanding Comedy Series ($100 gets you $80.00). If I were a betting man I’d definitely look at some of the other players in both those categories. Jeffery Tambor is the runaway favorite in all categories with 1/10 odds ($100 gets you $10).

I’ve included the winnings of each nominee based on a $100 bet. What do you think? What value do you see here?

  • I don’t give a shit if Matt LeBlanc is playing himself crossed with Joey Tribbiani, it’s still fucking gold.

  • Also, those GoT odds look like a scheme for Bovada to make some easy money. Really can’t see it beating out Emmy’s favourite Mad Men and its last hurrah.

  • Abe

GoT had so much controversy surrounding it this season as well. Do Emmy voters want a social media campaign carried out against them? I think there’s real value in going against Thrones.

  • How the fuck did Homeland get a nomination for Season 4? Yikes. I though maybe it was just due to habit but they rightfully didn’t nominate Season 3. Did I watch something different than everyone else?

  • I assume they don’t have odds on Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series because Jonathan Banks.

  • Abe

I’ll keep an eye on any developments.

Has anyone watched Transparent? I swear I only got through like 15 minutes of the first episode. It was fairly boring, I thought.

  • Tarmac492.1

My prediction is Mad Men wins.

  • Oscar bait is a common term, maybe this show is Emmy bait.

Tambor is the shit, but I dunno. Maybe I will give it another whirl.

  • CoolHandJuke

might have to take some action on Better Call Saul up there…
