    You forgot “The Amazing Spider-Man” movies from the Kurtzman/Orci canon: part two was pretty much the last thing they did together. Maybe that was the final straw

    I absolutely agree. The cinematic universe model is just mimicking the way people will watch most of a season to get to the finale whether they like it or not.
