#10 Halo 2 Peril
I beat the original Halo on the XBox, and always thought it was a decent game but maybe that was because not much else good came out for that system. Truly. People got really obsessed with it though like they did with Goldeneye but the muddy graphics and repetitious game play didn’t do much for me. Never was much for the console multiplayer experience either so maybe that was the problem. The music was always really cool though.
In the original game the soundtrack was all this really eerie choral music that didn’t gel with the game at all, but as standalone pieces of music they were great. Anyway, Halo 2 I rented and beat – I think. This piece of music is really catchy and excellent and you can’t not listen to it for a long stretch. Enjoy.
#9 Castlevania Bloody Tears Acapella
This guy is, perhaps, the greatest genius of the century up to this point. So dope. Keep an eye out for the cat cameos.
#8 Assassin’s Creed [Instrumental] Flume
Kind of reminds me of that band from the early 2000s called The Books, but then goes a bit larger. Interesting if not stellar.
#7 Trophy Gallery Theme Super Smash Brothers
A chilled out bit of ambiance for studying or web surfing or what have you. Good times.
#6 Donkey Kong Country 2 forest interlude
The Donkey Kong soundtracks for SNES are much ballyhooed and with good reason. I haven’t even really scratched the surface of this archive at all having only heard a few pieces of absolutely terrific music. Here is yet another catchy piece from this ever blossoming flower of art – yes I’m talking about the Donkey Kong soundtracks. Give the piece two minutes to grab your attention before you check out.
#5 Resident Evil 3 Save Room Theme
#4 Suikoden Piano Collection
This piano music is simple and beautiful. Very impressive to me.
#3 Zelda The Wind Waker Dragon Roost Island
This game was damn fun, although a bit easy and front loaded. I mean it seemed like the game should have gone on much longer and that the set up was just so epic but then it just ended. But it was really fun. And the music was groovy.
#2 Gerudo Valley Guitar 10 hours
Step away from the gasoline.
#1 Battletoads and Double Dragon The Ultimate Team Level 3
