Welcome to the inevitable sequel to our first horror-centric episode!

Horror Part 2: That means Jason wears a sack on his hat, Freddy tortures a gym teacher and Pinhead goes to Hell. Good times.

For full comprehension, you may want to listen to Part 1 first!

This is also marks our first episode hosted on TheSupernaughts.com!
Ave Supernaughts!

Like every good horror sequel, this one is rather short.

The regulars Zod, I-am-Better, Ronnie James Dio and Detective Dee are going to discuss:

  • Subgenres of horror

Which horror subgenre is ripe for a revival? Which one outstayed its welcome?

  • Horror on TV

We are supposedly living in the “Golden Age of TV-series”. Is this also true for horror series?
Or is it all hype and no substance?

Enjoy!

  • Downloaded, will try to listen tomorrow.

  • Finally. I was getting worried for a moment

  • Nah everything alright, the recordings are okay. I just was a bit demotivated the last weeks…. This one is short, but sweet. Rest in a few days.

  • Yeah, cool.

  • Zod’s dog is killing me, lol.

  • “Shut up, dog”-podcast lol

  • I talked a hell of a lot more than I remebered

  • Thanks!

  • 50 seconds inn. Very good so far.

  • I wrote a while ago about the new Wolfman that is being made. My opinion was that the studio has forgotten that these are MONSTERS. Nobody ever wanted to fuck the Wolfman.

  • I liked The Others.

  • I want the “regular horror”. The everyday freaks. Chainsaw massacre was basically just a bunch of ” normal” folks. There was nothing supernatural about them is what i mean There is another one called American Gothic ( have not seen it since the eighties , so it might not be as good as i remember it to be )

  • It all goes down after the 50 sec mark.

  • You probably like the newest season of “American Horror Story”

  • Tim something

He’s the hairy handed gent who ran amuck in Kent
Lately he’s been overheard in Mayfair
    Better stay away from him
He’ll rip your lungs out, Jim
I’d like to meet his tailor

  • IM SURE SOMEONE WANTED TOO

  • A GREAT LINE FROM THE FIRST SHOW

  • rip warren

  • its too uneven for me. they should have spun off the 3rd season into a series about witches. even it was too uneven for me.

  • Kidman isnt awful in that !

  • Tim something

You guys went and built a website! All you need now is a talkback page and your journey to the darkside will be complete.

  • Tim something

They changed him from a cursed, tormented creature to a superhero.

  • Tim something

LeRoy says there’s something you should know
Not everybody has a place to go
And home is just a place to hang your head
And dream of things to do in Denver when you’re dead

  • Season 3 dropped the ball in the last three episodes, as we said in the podcast. Season 4 dropped it midway through. I thought Razz could like it as the supernatural elements are sidelined a little.

  • Tim something

Torture porn isn’t horror, it’s horrible.

  • Tim something

Twilight zone did some great stuff, hard to categorize, but created that feeling of dread.

  • Tim something

In terms of revival- a lot of Stephen King stuff is ripe for remakes- although all King screen interpretations seem cursed.

  • Cursed?

  • Tim something

    Salem’s lot looks ridiculously 70’s
The one with the werewolf is pretty good but watching it now I can’t help but think that drunk Gary Busey could beat the shit out of the wolf.

  • I have no problem with the 70sness

  • Tim something

What about Gary Busey vs the Werewolf? Who do you put your money on?
(BTW “Rated Dee” is an inspired title)

  • Thanks, “Rated Dee” was not my idea though. I think nobody can win against Busey. Hard to fight someone who knows no boundaries.

  • So good to listen to this where it belongs!

  • I’m still waiting for an epic werewolf movie. I agree.

  • i’m not caught up on it. To be honest, my interest has diminished since season 2

  • Cannot blame you.

  • Cursed was really in the running for the worst.

  • That film is a mess.

  • Tell me if I’m wrong, but as I recall the studio came in and really messed everything up. Massive reshoots and rewrites.

  • I think that’s the reason, yes. Ricci is the only Plus in that film.

  • i agree. they couldnt close the 3rd season. lots of good there but they couldnt close it

  • i met a girl at the rainbow bar …

i dont wanna talk about !

    poor poor pitiful me

video post at the top of the page …

  • Apparently about 60% of the film was reshot, changing for example the main characters into brother/sister instead of love interests, changing the film from R-rated into PG-13, changing actors, etc… It’s a complete clusterfuck. I wish someone would make a proper documentary of that some day.

  • CurseofZodLovesMaude

I like the new digs… *takes off pants and lays about.

  • CurseofZodLovesMaude

    AH WOOOOOO WEREWOLF OF LONDON!

  • CurseofZodLovesMaude

he dug up her grave and built a cage of her bones- EXCITABLE BOY THEY ALL SAID.

  • CurseofZodLovesMaude

SHE WAS A CREDIT TO HER GENDER

  • CurseofZodLovesMaude

It sucks… the weird factor is up to 11 and the story is mostly pointless. Too bad since Lange and Kathy Bates and the kid Evan nail it.

  • CurseofZodLovesMaude

    that’s why it’s great!

  • CurseofZodLovesMaude

Ah…. there it is…. its absence on the other site was disconcerting.

  • Lol, I wanted to write you a mail. Sorry

  • CurseofZodLovesMaude

I like it here. I don’t smell any trout.

  • CurseofZodLovesMaude

You can’t start it like a car or stop it with a gun.

  • CurseofZodLovesMaude

That would be DARLA the Super Dog… she may or may not make future appearances.

  • CurseofZodLovesMaude

Thats ok… Dio gave me a bit of a heads up the other night…

  • There are furries in the world. I’m sure they wanted to fuck him.

  • CurseofZodLovesMaude

Haha. No. That one is goofy mostly. Rod Stieger hamming it up…

  • Yea. It’s a good cast and director

I think it must have been darker before they messed with it. Must have …

  • She is as.always.solid

  • Go to 1982

  • Bodi’s crew in point break knew no.boundaries. they handled him

  • Yea evan is a star. He stole XMEN Dofp

  • Feed her dude

  • Dee, no love for THE COMPANY OF WOLVES?

  • LET’S SCARE JESSICA TO DEATH is great.

  • They shot him in the back, the fucking cowards.

  • You have to shoot busey I the back or his teeth well distract you

  • I do love it, but it is almost 30 years old! All the few good/great werewolf movies are old by now. I want new ones.

  • The Company Of Wolves is younger then American Werewolf In London and The Hollowing. Not by many years, but younger. And you invoked those two as examples to behold.

  • Yeah I forgot about it in the heat of the moment… it’s still old enough that a worthy follow-up in the genre would be due.

  • That i agree. You did raised a point which made me think, and yes, we haven’t had much of a good recent werewolfmovie i can think of. I heard that Ginger Snaps is pretty good, but i haven’t seen it, and the movie was made in 2000, so there’s that.

  • Ginger Snaps was good!
