Airdate: 21-September-2014

In this episode, the guys got to do a sit-down conversation with the insanely awesome actor Sam Rockwell and one of the original great indie directors, Alexandre Rockwell!

What do Sam and Alex think of the independent film scene now? What actors have inspired Sam’s performances? What did Gene Hackman do on a film set that taught Alex how to better deal with actors? Who did Sam wish he could have worked with on a film?

All of that, some intel on the Poltergeist remake, and much, much more!

In the Best of the Week segment, the guys talk about Loki on Skull Island, Matt Damon being Bourne again, and Ben Affleck’s Batman rage.

OMG details FINALLY on the hand car accident! I knew he appears in Somebody to Love with a bandaged hand, and that it had to have happened after shooting the Law and Order and other things his hand appears undamaged in, in 1993….

PS there are loads of other great acting moments you need to see: Jesse James, Snow Angels, Midsummer Night’s Dream, HEIST, his cameo in MADE will blow you away…and Seven Psychopaths and The Way Way Back are both fun and quintessential SR roles. 🙂 PS I have clips of a lot of his small appearances in films (In The Soup, he was in it for like 4 minutes total, Last Exit to Brooklyn, etc) are all at my Youtube account….just search for the titles. A few things won’t allow uploading to Youtube like Safe Men, Oh yeah, that’s also a GREAT fun film check it out.

If you like Dinklage and Buscemi, check out Living In Oblivion the Tom DiCillo film before Box of Moon Light (and just after Johnny Suede)

OH if you ever have contact with Alexandre and Sam again, can you PLEASE ask what happened to the deleted scenes of Sam Rockwell in Pete Smalls Is Dead? Will they ever be released???

Love “Assination of Jesse James” and really enjoyed the “Way Way Back” too.

I got to meet with Alex recently at the premier of his new film “Little Feet.” Hoping to have him on the show again for sure.
