I Am Better

Coming from the frozen wastelands of Finnish tundra. Mr. Better seeks warmth from his television & home theater and all the wonders they provide. He occasionally dabbles in the arts of drawing and photography.

  • Dee-abolik

    haha Dutch angle window?

  • I_am_better

Look at the previous comic. The idea spawned from there

  • I_am_better

I gotta say, the FB publisher makes me wanna strangle someone

  • Good to see a lil’ color aesthetics as well as using merged panels.
You done stepped up your A-game!

  • “Dutch angle window”? That sounds like some taboo sex act.
    Jus sayin.

  • I_am_better

Thanks. Got a bit bored with boxes

  • Reminds me of those classic Miracleman comics by Alan Moore and John Totleben. Color me impressed! (Pun intended.)

  • I_am_better

Gotta try different styles so I don’t get repetitive

  • It doesnt hurt to experiment while illustrating these comics.

  • Dee-abolik

    Totleben? that’s an interesting name

  • I_am_better

Lol – does it mean what I think it does?

  • Foster Breadford

She isn’t working out as much these days.

  • franks_television

    Very clever. A triumphant return!

  • I_am_better

Lol. Been on vacation. Not near gyms

  • Dee-abolik

    dead life or dead live

  • I_am_better

I just thought “what the hell” and decided to go as meta as one can get

  • I_am_better

    Totlieben would be even weirder

  • Foster Breadford

    Being Richard Head

  • I_am_better

Not quite into those depths yet, but getting there

  • Foster Breadford

IAB gets hired to adapt a SN article about orchids into a comic series and his twin brother decides to write comics but doesn’t appreciate the craft.

  • He’s an incredible artist whose work delivered the most haunting imagery in Comics. His work in both Miracleman & Swamp Thing was some of the scariest shit i have ever graced in pulp literiture! I remember featuring those issues in a Halloween dedicated article for Pulp Epic back then.

  • Dee-abolik

    it looks damn great

  • Turd Has Escaped The Gravy

Things have taken a turn for the surreal…

  • Turd Has Escaped The Gravy

It’s a clever nod to the aesthetics of German Expressionism. In fact, the entire strip reminded me of “The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari”. Maybe the secretary is secretly controlling StudioHEAD like the somnabulist in that movie?

  • Tarmac492.1

  • Thanks, but actually there already is a Jack Kirby Museum.
Btw, great roundtable at MaS. You’re a superstar! Will watch your recent upload soon.

  • Bop

IAB scores again. Studiohead cracks me up. I always think I can predict what he thinks, but I am always wrong.

  • I_am_better

    Thanks 🙂

  • I_am_better

    The only predictability is unpredictability

  • Cannonball

    Oh man. This is fantastic.
